Tesa Fiddler

Tesa Fiddler is a First Nations educator with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board. She is a mother of two children. Tesa has completed her undergraduate degrees from Lakehead University and the University of Ottawa and has a Master of Education from Lakehead University.

She has been a teacher for nearly 30 years, working primarily with First Nations students and their families. Tesa is passionate about supporting and advocating for the rights of children and families. She is currently the chair of the Advisory Committee on Indigenous Education for the Canadian Teachers’ Federation.

    The tragedy of Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls must not continue to be part of the narrative of Canada. Indigenous women and girls have experienced colonial violence and genocide for hundreds of years and it must end.
